When our lives seem complicated and challenged, we can become discouraged. I’ve personally experienced the defeat of discouragement. Did you know “dis” means absence? So when we are discouraged, we are experiencing an absence of courage. Our confidence has disappeared. What do we do then? This morning, the message is strong within me: Reclaim your victory!
We need to reclaim our courage. We need to reclaim our confidence.
There is nothing, absolutely nothing, that Jesus can’t help us with. When we are down and troubled, challenged and without courage, we need to immerse ourselves in God’s Word. We need to read it, hear it, sing it, and say it!
We have a mighty God!
We have a strong God!
We have a powerful God!
Jesus didn’t just come for nothing. He came that we might live in victory.
I don’t know what you may be experiencing right now. You could be truly discouraged about something(s) in your life.
But…
Don’t let our enemy get the best of you.
Claim your victory in Christ.
Reclaim who your God is.
Reclaim who you are.
Reclaim courage.
Reclaim confidence.
We are God’s kids.
He sees us.
He cares about us.
He knows exactly what we’re going through Every. Single. Day.
Every. Single. Season. of our lives, Jesus knows.
There is nothing, and I mean nothing that Jesus Christ can’t help you with.
If you are discouraged today, STOP! Stop right now. Say out loud, “I am the Mighty King’s child! I am victorious through Jesus! He is my help. He is my provider. He is my defender. Jesus is my God! He came to show me the way. I can be confident in the One who saved my soul.”
Like the Canaanite woman from Matthew 15:21-28, be courageous. Approach Jesus with your concern. Cry out to Jesus with your request. Pursue Jesus. Don’t give up! I promise Jesus will help you.
May your faith be ever so present today that you can walk confidently and courageous knowing Jesus has heard your cries. He’s heard your requests. He sees your situation. And May Jesus grant you victory in your faith.
Scripture:
Proverbs 3:26 — For the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from a snare.
Psalm 71:5 — For You are my hope; O Lord GOD, You are my confidence from my youth.
Philippians 4:6 — Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
